Ingredients
- 3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and ground black pepper (for seasoning chicken)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and ground black pepper.
3. In a small bowl, combine the packed brown sugar, water, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture forms a smooth sauce.
4. Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer. Pour the brown sugar sauce evenly over the chicken to coat it well.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
6. Remove the chicken from the oven and transfer to serving plates. Drizzle pan juices over the chicken and serve with your favorite side like rice or pasta.
Notes
