Description

Juicy grilled steak and tender shrimp skewers brushed with a rich garlic butter sauce. This flavorful surf-and-turf dish is perfect for summer grilling and quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

1. In a large bowl combine the cubed sirloin steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2. In another bowl toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper and set aside.

3. In a small saucepan melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to create the garlic butter sauce.

5. Thread the marinated steak and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between steak cubes and shrimp.

6. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

7. Grill the skewers for about 3–4 minutes on each side until the steak reaches desired doneness and the shrimp are pink and opaque.

8. Remove from the grill and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the skewers before serving.

Notes

If using wooden skewers soak them in water for about 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.

You can add vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, or zucchini to the skewers for extra flavor.

Serve with rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Leftover garlic butter can be brushed on the skewers while grilling for extra richness.
