Description

Million Dollar Chicken Casserole is a rich, creamy, and cheesy comfort food classic topped with a buttery cracker crust. It’s easy to make, packed with flavor, and perfect for a cozy family dinner or potluck.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 10.75 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers (about 1 sleeve)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

3. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed buttery crackers with melted butter until well coated.

5. Sprinkle the cracker topping evenly over the casserole.

6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly around the edges.

7. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time and add extra flavor.

You can substitute crushed Ritz crackers or buttery round crackers for the topping.

Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.

This dish freezes well — assemble and freeze before baking, then thaw and bake when ready to serve.
