Description
Sweet corn cooked in a skillet with butter and honey, finished with cream cheese for a rich and creamy Southern-style side dish that’s quick, comforting, and perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen sweet corn
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and honey together. Stir gently until the mixture melts and begins to bubble slightly.
2. Add the frozen sweet corn to the skillet and stir well so the kernels are coated in the honey butter mixture.
3. Cook the corn for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is heated through and some kernels begin to turn slightly golden.
4. Add the softened cream cheese to the skillet and stir continuously as it melts and blends into the corn.
5. Continue stirring until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and forms a creamy sauce coating the corn.
6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. Serve hot directly from the skillet.
