Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups sliced carrots
- 1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup milk
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite blend)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat with the chopped onion and garlic until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture, sliced potatoes, carrots, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk.
4. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until everything is well coated.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
6. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
7. Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and vegetables are fork-tender.
8. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra creaminess, stir in ½ cup of sour cream or softened cream cheese before baking.
Swap in frozen mixed veggies to save prep time—no need to thaw.
Add a pinch of smoked paprika or Worcestershire sauce to the meat mixture for deeper flavor.
This recipe is easy to double and perfect for meal prep or sharing.
