Ingredients
- Store-bought flatbread, naan, or pita
- Homemade flatbread (optional)
- Cooked shredded chicken or rotisserie chicken
- Your favorite BBQ sauce
- Mozzarella cheese
- Sharp cheddar cheese
- Smoked gouda cheese
- Thinly sliced red onion
- Fresh cilantro or parsley
- Pickled jalapeños (optional)
- Bacon bits or crispy fried onions (optional)
- Olive oil or garlic butter for brushing
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. Shred or chop cooked chicken and mix with BBQ sauce in a bowl.
3. Lay flatbread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil or garlic butter.
4. Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce over the flatbread base.
5. Sprinkle half of the cheese mix over the sauce.
6. Add BBQ chicken and red onion slices evenly.
7. Top with remaining cheese.
8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
9. Remove from oven and garnish with cilantro, extra BBQ sauce, and any desired toppings.
Notes
You can customize the cheese blend to your taste or use only one type of cheese.
